ASD is a richly diverse and multi-cultural community. Our students and teachers come from over 35 different countries and represent every populated continent. We enjoy a dynamic and stimulating blend of cultures, faiths, nationalities, and languages, and strive to promote internationalism while respecting and preserving each individual's identity. We actively seek out and employ highly qualified, certified, experienced, and culturally diverse teachers. Most of our teachers hold advanced degrees and are experienced in international school settings. ASD provides regular professional development in curriculum, best practice, and creative teaching approaches for all teachers.
Our PTA is enthusiastic and very active in supporting school events. It's a great opportunity for parents to meet each other and make a difference in their children's educational experience. Some of the events organized by the PTA include Book-o-Ween, Family Fun Day, the School Store, and the International Day feast. The PTA also helps subsidize school field trips and sporting events.
