Founded in 1978, the American School of Douala (ASD) is co-educational day school that provides high quality, U.S.-style, pre-K–12 college preparatory education. While the ASD curriculum is inspired by the best in American education, the school community embodies its long-standing ideals of cultural diversity and global perspective. ASD, with a highly qualified faculty of 16, and over 135 students from more than 19 nations, is one of the most respected international institutions in Cameroon. Over the years, the school has had the privilege of educating youths in the belief that academic excellence, personal growth and a global perspective go hand in hand. ASD students enjoy small classroom sizes, state of the art technologies and facilities. Located within a quiet residential neighborhood of Douala, the school offers a variety of outdoor activities, athletic and swimming. |
